Back for 2021, it's the same great trail run that's suitable for all levels around the magnificent Cragside House and Estate. Why not come and do some trail running on one of the most famous estates in the North East?
This year sees the repeat of the highly popular and stunning 1 mile Junior Trail Run, so this event really is for all the family. Junior Trail Runners get the same 'mega-medal' as the adults! Children 5 and under are expected to run with a parent.
Entry includes a gigantic finishers medal and a custom neck gaiter (Buff style) and free entry for yourself and 2 others into the grounds of Cragside Estate.
National Trust’s own Cragside was home to the world-famous engineer/inventor William Armstrong who was one of the biggest industrial players of his day. He bought a house and a plot of land just north of Rothbury and over the years sculpted it to be the absolute delight you see today. Now it’s your turn to run through the carefully manicured trees, past the wrought iron bridge that looks up at the house, near the Archimedes screw and marvel at the beauty of the environment.
Expect a friendly, relaxed but professionally organised event. Once done you can stuff your face with cake and coffee in Cragside's own cafe.
Facilities and food are all available on site.
You can make an optional donation to North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team when entering.
This event offers the option to purchase Refund Protect. Participants can choose to cover their inability to attend with Refund Protect.
