This weekend we will find out who are the best Sprint and Middle distance orienteers in the UK.  There are races in each age class from M/W10 to M/W90.

British Sprint Championships - University of Bath - Saturday 1 September 2018

British Middle Distance Championship - Stockhill near Wells - Sunday 2 September 2018

The Championships will be run in accordance with the rules:

Eligibility:  Members of British Orienteering and IOF affiliated Federations may take part in these Championships. To be eligible to be a British Champion you must also be a British Citizen, except in a few circumstances explained in the rules.

Start Times:  Start Times for both Championships will be allocated according to rankings and will not be changed once issued.  Due to this and the short start window, there will be no split starts for parents in the Sprint Championships.  Split starts will be available to parents in the Middle Championships. Volunteers should indicate they are helping when entering.

Colour Coded Courses:  White, Yellow and Orange non-Championship courses will be available both days.  Pre-entry is prefered, but there will also be entry on the day.  Only by pre-entering can you have a SIAC.  Only traditional dibbers will be available for hire on the day.  At the Sprint Championships, they will have a queuing start in the break between the heats and finals. Championship participants may not run or shadow on these courses.
