Take on the rugged and beautiful coastline of Holy Island. Starting with stunning views of Southstack lighthouse, you’ll race along high cliff edges and around secluded sandy bays with spectacular views of the mountains of snowdonia! Will you be first to reach the grail?

Sponsored by Wild Trail

The Holy Trail, a 15km trail run, will take place on the west coast of Holy Island, Anglesey, North Wales, famous for its religious landmarks! The linear 15km running course is approximately 70% off road and the route will take in some of Angleseys’s most stunning scenery, including Southstack Lighthouse and the RSPB reserve, beautiful cliff top paths with views of the mountains of Snowdonia, sandy bays and hidden beaches.

The first Runner to reach the finish line will claim the sacred Holy Trail Grail! But whether you choose to race or ramble, there’ll be a revered medal waiting for you at the end!

The course will be fully marked.

location: Rhoscolyn, Anglesey, North Wales.

Total course distance: 15km

Elevation gain: 190m

Aid stations: 2  (you are advised to carry water and a gel)

Entry fee includes:

      • Event number
      • Race timing
      • Transport to race start
      • Fuel and hydration during race
      • Post-event refreshments
      • Medal

A race number will be supplied. Your number must be visible on your front at all times during the event. Failure to show you number may mean you do not get a time for your race.
There will be a mandatory equipment check at registration.

      • Windproof or waterproof jacket
      • Mobile phone
      • Off road trail running shoes – if wet the course can be very slippery & treacherous.
      • Hydration pack, soft bottle or cup
Highly recommended: Minimum 500m water & energy bar or gel.

This event will be plastic cup free in a bid to reduce waste and help care for the environment. Water and isotonic drink will of course be available at feed stations but you will need to carry your own bottle or cup. We recommend a hydration packpack, a Salomon Soft Cup or similar which can be easily stashed inside a pocket or a soft bottle such as this one.
