The SW100 is a 100mile ultra-trail footrace starting and finishing in Cardiff, crossing the South Wales Valleys and the Brecon Beacons. It is a demanding test of endurance over varied and challenging terrain and is only suitable for experied and competent ultra -trail runners. The route has approximate;y 6000 meters of ascent and is over 90% on trails. This is a tough course with less than %50 finishers in the previous two years. You have 40 hours to complete the course, and there is a earlier 'walkers' start option which gives you 44hours to complete the course.

The SW50 starts in Brecon Town Centre and heads to the top of Pen Y Fan,  where its joins and follows the second half of the SW100 course. Both routes continue over the main Brecon Beacons range before running back to Cardiff via an excellenat network of trails passing  green valleys, roling hills and mountain summitts.

The SW50 starts at 0900 on Saturday morning and has approximately 3000meters of ascent.

There are 4 recce days available to allow you familiarise yourself with the course before the event.  These can be added when you sign up, or added in at a later date.

Both races can be completed as a solo or in teams of 2, 3 or 4.  The price includes camping on Friday and Saturday night at event HQ. For the SW50 the event includes transport from Cardiff to the start in Brecon Beacons.
