A 50-mile/5,500ft circuit of the Yorkshire Dales for experienced walkers and runners

Using footpaths, bridleways and quiet roads through the attractive dales of Wensleydale and Swaledale including an ascent of Great Shunner Fell.

Start/Finish: 
Harmby Village Hall, Brook Terrace, Leyburn, North Yorkshire, DL8 5PG GR: SE128895.

Registration:
Registration 07:00-08:15.

Start:
Start 08:30 (no late starts after the Sweepers have left)

Entry Details: 
LDWA £20. Non-LDWA & On the day £25

LDWA, Non-LDWA and runners are more than welcome. Over 18's only. See entry form for full T&Cs.

Entry includes:
Tea & toast at registration, refreshments at checkpoints, meal at finish and badge & certificate.

Route & Checkpoints:
Harmby – Castle Bolton – Haverdale – Muker – Hardraw – Bainbridge – Thoralby – Gallops – Harmby

Equipment:
As the route is over moorland and potentially at night; a mandatory kit list includes; suitable footwear, waterproofs (seamed top & trousers), spare fleece, route map (electronic accepted if a copy of the route description is carried), compass, whistle, torch & emergency bivvy bag (not foil blanket) & food.  Walkers should carry a mug.  Plastic cups will be available at CPs for runners & walkers who forget one.  You may feel safer having some fluorescent markings on your rucksack/outer garment..
