New route for 2018!

The Marathon and Half-Marathon will follow the Marriott’s Way from Norwich/Whitwell to Aylsham

Runners of all abilities welcome including complete beginners. Walkers also welcome.

Traffic free courses on disused railway line.

All finishers will be awarded a bespoke medal.

Race Details

Coaches: Transport will be available from the finish location to the start line, before the event begins

Start Times:

Marathon 9am

Half Marathon: 10:30am

Start - Marathon - Norwich

Start - Half Marathon - Whitwell Station

Finish for Marathon and Half Marathon - Aylsham

The race will be held under UK Athletics rules (permit applied for)

Transport: A coach will be available to take runners before the start from finish back to the start (in other words leave your car

at the finish!). To be booked at the same time as entering. Cost £10.

Race number: collected on-the-day

Finish: All finishers will receive a bespoke medal

First Aid – First Aiders will be present at the start/finish and along the course. If you develop medical problems, please alert the nearest marshal and prompt assistance will be provided.

Refunds: up to 6 weeks before the day of the race you will be entitled to 60% refund if you are unable to take part. If you wish to defer your entry to next year due to injury, then you must do so at least 3 weeks prior to the event to allow us to fill your place.

Transfers will only be allowed with permission of the Race Director and not any closer than 2 weeks before the event.

The Course

This is a one-lap flat course which will be clearly marked. There will be drinks stations every 7 miles approx.

The course is traffic free but does cross a number of busy roads, these will be marshalled.

The surfaces are generally good, and are suitable for normal road shoes.

The course has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer, therefore the distances are approximate.
