This event raises money to donate to the charity "Heart of England Forest", Reg Charity No:1097110.

There are 2 routes for Runners or Walkers either 26.5 miles or 17 miles. Food and Drink is also supplied en-route and at the Finish! Showers and changing facilities are also available at the Finish.

We started the event in 2015 and in the last two years have planted in excess of 1,300 trees! Last year's 1,000 trees are here:

Included in your entry fee two native broadleaf trees will be planted in the "Heart of England Forest". The planting will take place in the season immediately after the event and be in a specified location that you can come back to in following years to inspect the results of your efforts.

Starting in the Medieval market town of Henley in Arden with its half timbered buildings and the earthwork remains of "Beaudesert Castle" the route passes through the village of Ullenhall and then past the magnificent "Coughton Court", home of the Throckmorton family, who were associated with the "Gunpowder Plot" of 1605.

The shorter route then returns to Henley passing huge swathes of newly planted trees and some of the remnants of the Ancient Forest of Arden in the form of "Bannans Wood" and "Clouse Wood".

The main course continues through the town of Alcester settled first in Roman times, but later chosen by the Marquis of Hertford who built "Ragley Hall" there as the family seat.

The way then skirts Oversley Wood and several more thatched hamlets before arriving at Aston Cantlow. A sharp left turn and in about a mile and a half we rejoin the short route through the swathes of newly planted trees.
