OF Coaching Day (LOC signup only)

On Saturday 28th November there is an Orienteering Foundation coaching day at Simpson Ground near Newby Bridge. This is open to club groups, and individuals in clubs not taking a group. LOC will be there with a group coached by Richard Tiley.

Full details of the day are on the Orienteering Website at https://www.orienteeringfoundation.org.uk/lakes-coaching-day-28th-november-2026. LOC members should use this event on SiEntries to signup to attend.

Arrival at 10am. The coaching exercises consist of a set of short or medium loops (1-2km each, plus a line and a corridor course!), practicing different skills. You can do them in any order, and do as many or as few as you like. Expert briefing, coaching tips and review from club coach Richard Tiley. Everyone must be back by 2:30pm latest (but you can leave earlier if you wish!).

The exercises are suitable for those who would typically run Light Green or above at a regional / Galoppen event. All are welcome and everyone is sure to learn something, whatever your ability!

Entry via this event on SiEntries is for LOC MEMBERS ONLY. You MUST register here by Sunday 22nd November. There are NO late registrations and you cannot just turn up on the day (sorry).

If you are in another club that is bringing a group, please contact your club to register. If you are in a club that is not bringing a group, please see details on the Orienteering Foundation website of how to register.
