North Coast 110 night section recce
This year, the North Coast event has moved into November. For most people on the 110 miler and everyone on the 110km, it will be dark from Barnstaple or soon after. The first part of the route is simple to follow, but after that, it is a little more complicated. Easy enough to follow the South West Coast Path markers in daylight, especially if you are using a GPS watch or device as backup, but some previous knowledge of the route is helpful here at night. Our recce will cover the section between Braunton Burrows and Combe Martin, a distance of about 40km.
Transport will be available from Exeter area and the M5 and A361 corridor, or you can choose to make your own way to the start and back from the finish.
You'll be supported by members of our North Coast event team, and our minibus will meet you a couple of times along the route with refreshments. You can also leave a bag on the bus with additional clothing and supplies. Pace will be a slow run, based on what's comfortable for the whole group on the day.
This recce run is open to everyone, regardless of whether you have entered the event this year or plan to do it in the future.
