Starting from Goathland Village Hall, The Falls 10K (ish) could be closer to 12k! heads out through the heart of the village before leaving the ultra-marathon route behind and turning towards the picturesque valley of Grosmont. The course quickly immerses runners in beautiful ancient woodland, where twisting trails and towering trees create a truly enchanting atmosphere.
Emerging from the forest, the route joins the historic railway line, offering a rare opportunity to open up the pace on a fast, runnable section surrounded by the stunning scenery of the North York Moors. The woodland soon returns as the course dives back beneath the canopy, following winding riverside trails deep into the valley.
From here, runners are treated to one of the most memorable sections of the route, crossing the river time and time again over charming wooden bridges. The trail then passes the spectacular Mallyan Spout Waterfall, where the cascading water provides a breathtaking highlight of the race.
The final challenge awaits with a rewarding climb out of the valley before the course returns towards Goathland, following the road back to the Village Hall for a memorable finish.
Combining enchanting woodland, riverside trails, historic railway paths, beautiful wooden bridges, and the magnificent Mallyan Spout Waterfall, The Falls 10K offers a magical and unforgettable trail running experience in the heart of the North York Moors.

- Parking available in the village, this is a public car park and has a fee
- Toilet facilities at the start/finish.

- Trophy's for 1st male and female in the over 50's, 60's and you lot hard enough to be in the over 70's!

Bad weather disruption
Should the event be cancelled due to severe weather conditions, including snow, ice, flooding or other safety concerns, entrants will be offered a free transfer to a future event by the race organiser up to the value of their original entry fee. No cash refunds will be available due to costs at this point. This is hopefully something that will never happen, but its Britain so never say never!
