Join us for Audley Urban, a North West Urban League event taking place in the varied urban landscape of Audley, Blackburn. Participants will race between pre-set checkpoints on the course chosen, in the correct order, testing their navigation, route choice and decision-making skills on a newly mapped area.
The area offers a challenging mix of intricate social housing estates, interconnected modern housing developments, parkland and other urban features. Expect plenty of route choice throughout, with some sprint-style sections combined with more complex navigational challenges.
A range of courses will be available to suit all ages and abilities, from newcomers and junior competitors to experienced urban specialists and league runners. Whether you're aiming for NWUL points, sharpening your racing skills or trying urban orienteering for the first time, there is a course for you.
Newcomers are very welcome, with full instructions available before the start. Please note that junior competitors must comply with British Orienteering urban event age restrictions.
Come along and enjoy a fast, competitive and rewarding urban orienteering challenge in one of Blackburn's most interesting newly mapped areas.
Entrants can choose to run any course, but entries are required to be by Age Categories (or run up) to count for the NWUL.
