Castle C'Alf fell race

Race over the final half of the Full Castle Carr race route, including the stunning Castle Carr private estate, as well as Midgley Moor and Warley Moor. To be honest Castle C'Alf covers the best bits of the full Castle Carr race!

Category BM: 12km (7miles) / 490m (1600ft) of ascent/descent.

Sunday 4th October 2026 from Wadsworth Community Centre, Old Town, near Hebden Bridge. HX7 8RY.

Start: 1pm

The race is licensed by the FRA under UKA rules. It is therefore a non-GPS race.

You must carry:

• waterproof trousers with taped seams
• waterproof jacket with taped seams and an integrated hood
• hat (a buff is acceptable)
• gloves
• map of the route, suitable for navigating with
• compass (a proper one)
• whistle
• emergency food

Bring your kit to registration to be checked.

Please do not go through the private estate before or after race day.
