Tywarnhayle 10K 2026

The Tywarnhayle 10K is part of Cornwall's Multi-Terrain Race Series.  Starting from Mount Hawke cricket club at 10:00am the race takes in some coast path around Chapel Porth and back towards Porthtowan before a loop around Tywarnhayle mine.

Constraints of the course and HQ mean places have to be limited to 230 runners.

The route can be found on Strava here: https://www.strava.com/routes/2853117112395182616  or on OS maps here:

These are all footpaths that are generally open so feel free to recce it.   There are some technical descents, lots of mud, and a bit of river to run up - but the views will be worth it if you are brave enough not to concentrate on where you are putting your feet!

We are making a donation of £1 per runner to the National Trust for the kind use of their land.

There will be a full runners briefing coming out by email the week before the race. Please also monitor our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/368870051300123) for updates.

If you find you can't run then you can still transfer your entry to a friend by doing a transfer on SiEntries (SiEntries do charge and receive an admin fee). You need to do this by the end of the 2nd October so we can transfer over your number.  Please feel free to offer any transfers on the Tywarnhayle 10K facebook page but please don't contact the race organisers about it.

UKA Licence ID:  ARC permit number ARC/26/0754

There will also be a children's race, the Twarnhayle24. After the adults race goes, the children will be set off round the starting field.  Who can get the most laps done in 24 minutes?  All ages welcome up to 15 years maximum, each participant will get a medal and a treat.
