BL Brampton Urban Event (NWUL)

Regional urban orienteering event in Brampton, part of the North West Urban League (NWUL).

Entry Information:

Everyone welcome.  Either enter your age class, especially if you are looking for points in the NWUL rankings, or one of the open courses if you would prefer.

If you are new to orienteering and will be going round as a group, just enter one person and use the option to select any additional maps that your group would like at £1 each.

Dibber hire is available at no charge (but £30 if not returned). To pre-order a dibber leave the SI number blank during entry process and then collect it from Download on the day.

Location: The Event Centre  and parking are at Brampton Community Centre (CA8 1BX)

Terrain: Urban with a small amount of parkland.

Courses:

Course 1   -   8.7km, 90m climb  -  Open Men, Course 1 Open
Course 2   -   7.9km, 65m  -   Veteran Men 40+, Supervet Men 55+, Open Women, Veteran Women 40+, Course 2 Open
Course 3   -   6.6km, 70m  -  Ultravet Men 65+, Supervet Women 55+, Course 3 Open
Course 4   -   4.0km, 50m  -  Hypervet Men 75+, Ultravet Women 65+, Hypervet Women 75+, Course 4 Open
Course 5   -   3.4m, 35m  -  Junior Men 16-, Junior Women 16-, Course 5 Open
Course 6   -   1.7km, 20m  -  Young Junior Men 12-, Young Junior Women 12-, Course 6 Open

The course lengths give optimum distance.

Important notes about age restrictions:
1. All Young Juniors (i.e. M/W12-, born 2014 or later) must be accompanied or shadowed whichever course they run.
2. Any one under the age of 16 on the day of the event, but older than M/W 12 must run Course 5 or 6 if they wish to be unaccompanied. If they wish to run any other course they must be accompanied/shadowed by an adult.

It is recommended that accompanying adults run their own course first.

Starts: 10:30am – 12.30pm

The start is located about 400m  from the event centre. The finish is about 100m from the event centre
