The Moors 100 Miler is a journey across some of Northern England's most iconic landscapes, covering approximately 160 kilometres from Patterdale in the Lake District to The Lion Inn in the heart of the North York Moors.
Following sections of Wainwright's famous Coast to Coast route, participants will cross mountain passes, rolling dales, remote moorland, and historic villages before reaching the finish.
With a generous 60-hour cut-off, this event is designed to be accessible to both experienced ultra-runners and determined hikers looking to take on their first multi-day endurance challenge.
Expect stunning scenery, well-stocked checkpoints, and the supportive Community Traverse atmosphere that has become the hallmark of our events.
Route Description
The Moors 100 Miler follows approximately 160 kilometres of Wainwright's famous Coast to Coast route, starting in Patterdale within the Lake District National Park and finishing at The Lion Inn on the North York Moors.
The route begins amongst the rugged fells and mountain passes of the Lake District before crossing into the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. Participants will pass through remote valleys, historic market towns, open farmland, and expansive moorland as they progress east. While less mountainous than the opening stages, the latter sections of the route remain physically demanding, with long stretches of exposed terrain and challenging navigation. A GPX file and final route information will be issued prior to the event.

Safety & Rules
This is a physically demanding 160km mountain ultra. Participants must be adequately trained and prepared.
A mandatory kit list will apply and must be respected at all times (details will be provided in the final race pack).
Live tracking will be in place for all participants. It is the participant's responsibility to return the tracker at the finish or upon withdrawal.
The official route must be followed at all times.Participants who withdraw must inform Race Control and report to the nearest checkpoint as soon as reasonably possible.
Participants must be capable of maintaining forward progress within event cut-offs.
Additional Information
This event is officially registered with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA).
Participants who finish will earn ITRA endurance points.
Full race details, GPX files, checkpoint breakdowns, cut-offs, and mandatory kit requirements will be issued prior to the event.
