Come and join us for a fantastic day of Canicross along the stunning coastline at Crosby Beach. This unique route offers wide open views across the Irish Sea, firm sand underfoot, and a refreshing sea breeze—perfect for both you and your dog.
The course follows a scenic out-and-back route along the beach, starting from the RNLI car park. You’ll run alongside the iconic coastline, enjoying a mix of compact sand and slightly softer sections, creating a fun and varied running experience for all abilities. The exact distance will be approximately 3–4km, depending on the tide conditions on the day.
While the terrain is less technical than trail routes, the natural resistance of the sand can provide a great workout. This makes it ideal for beginners looking to get started, while still offering a solid challenge for more experienced runners.
This is a non-competitive, timed event with a keepsake for all entered. Just a great opportunity to get out, run, and enjoy the experience with your dog. Expect a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where everyone is encouraged, whether you’re jogging, running, or simply taking part for fun.

Distance: ~3–4km (out-and-back, depending on tide)
Entries: Capped at 40 participants
Parking:
Available at Crosby Beach RNLI car park. Charges apply. Please park considerately, follow all local restrictions, and avoid blocking access for emergency vehicles or other beach users. The event organiser accepts no responsibility for vehicles or their contents.
Facilities:
Public toilets available near the car park
Coffee stand on-site for refreshments
Course Support:
Clearly marked route with marshals positioned at key points to keep you safe and on track
All entrants will receive a little something for taking part.
2 dog teams (max) welcome.
