Route Details
Short Route: Designed for newer riders ready to take on their first big challenge. A gentle coastal route with a supportive atmosphere and a finish that feels like a real achievement. The perfect introduction to the Solway landscape.
Medium Route: A rewarding blend of coast and rolling hills. Ideal for returning cyclists or those who ride regularly but are looking for a slightly more challenging route.
Long Route: For seasoned riders who crave long days, big climbs, and big views. This route heads deeper into the hills, offering a decent challenge with an optional timed hill climb for anyone who wants to add an extra challenge to test their legs. Scenic, satisfying, and unforgettable.
Back in Dalbeattie, you'll be welcomed with: a finisher's medal and certificate; a food voucher to use at Rocks and Wheels; embroidered patches, and more; not forgetting a warm community atmosphere, and a special sneak peak of the new Rocks and Wheels Centre ahead of the opening date - the future of adventure through indoor and outdoor experiences in the heart of Dalbeattie.
Hosted by the local community: The Etape Solway is a celebration of the landscape, the community, and the riders who come together to enjoy it. Whichever course you choose, we believe it is the kind of ride that will become a tradition and a route you'll want to revisit or and a place you'll want to return to
By taking part, you're supporting the Dalbeattie Community Initiative, including local projects , conservation efforts, and the wellbeing of the town.
