Woodhouse Eaves May Day Dash

Join us for the inaugural Woodhouse Eaves Scout Group 11km (approx) race, starting from the Village Hall car park in Woodhouse Eaves and heading out into the beautiful Charnwood countryside and help us to raise funds for our group.

The route leaves Woodhouse Eaves, heads across the fields to Swithland and into Swithland Woods.  After skirting Bradgate Park, you’ll head down through Lingdale Golf Course and back into Woodhouse Eaves via Windmill Hill.  The route is mainly on off road, uneven terrain along bridleways and public footpaths with approximately 300m of elevation but there are some (marshalled) road crossings and a manned water station en-route.  First aid support will also be provided.

There is a secure bag drop area with toilet facilities at the start and end of the race.

All ages welcome but U16s must be accompanied by an adult.

10:00 start 

There will be a tail walker for this event and there is a 2hr cut off limit.

Unfortunately, because the race passes through fields where livestock may be present, dogs are not allowed.

Refreshments available at the end of the race, including, teas and coffees, cakes and a BBQ.
