Parents accompanying children go free. SI timing card hire is free but lost cards are charged at a replacement cost of £30. Please note: Participants who are not members of British Orienteering or of another orienteering federation are not covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this event, but please understand that you are taking part at your own risk. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered. Members of Orienteering Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. |
To enter you must first Log In or Register your Details with SiEntries.
A score event is different to a normal cross country orienteering event in that, there are a number of controls which you can visit in any order you wish within a set time. Points will be awarded for each control you punch. If you are late back points will be deducted. So, you will need to plan your best route to get back before the set time.
Anyone can enter and enjoy a run but only current NIOA members can be classified as eligible/competitive for the title of NI Score Champion. Note: membership renewal was due on the 1st January! Join online
If you are fairly new to orienteering, don’t let the sound of NI Championship put you off – you are welcome to run round as a pair or family/friendship group (although to be deemed competitive you need to enter as an individual).
Registration – Not required if using own SI Card. Hire cards can be collected from the Organiser at the download car.
SIACs - SI Air will be enabled on all controls including the Finish.
