Join Us for the 11th Macmillan Charity Ride!
Get ready for an incredible day of cycling, community spirit, and entertainment as the Welland Valley Cycling Club (WVCC) proudly hosts the 11th Annual Macmillan Charity Ride, supported by an amazing team of volunteers.
Our goal is twofold: to bring people together through the joy of cycling and to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer. We’re also proud to donate a portion of the proceeds to Thomas's Fund, a cause close to the hearts of many WVCC members.

New for Our 11th Edition: Exciting Routes for Everyone!
To celebrate this milestone year, we’ve introduced 3 brand-new road routes and 3 new off-road routes, so there’s something for every kind of rider.
- 80km/125km Road Routes: Perfect for riders of all abilities, our road routes offer smooth, scenic journeys with distances to suit your challenge level. A GPS device is required to ensure accurate navigation throughout the course.
- Gravel Routes: Ready for adventure? 70km or 100km challenging gravel trails take you through rugged terrain and stunning landscapes. A GPS navigator is essential to guide you along the route.
- 20km Family-Friendly Route: Cycling is for everyone! Our specially designed off-road family routes make it easy and enjoyable for younger riders to join the fun. Even better — children under 15 ride for free!
Ride Your Way – Fun for All Ages and Abilities
This is a non-competitive event, so the pace is entirely up to you:
- Want to challenge yourself? Push your limits and enjoy the ride!
- Prefer a relaxed day out? Stop, take in the scenery, and enjoy quality time with friends and family.
All routes begin and end at the beautiful Grange Farm, Thorpe Langton, home of the fantastic Langton Brewery.
What’s Waiting for You?
- Free Refreshments Before You Ride: Start your journey with complimentary drinks and snacks.
- On-Course Refreshments: Stop and recharge with a well-stocked break at Whissendine Village Hall.
- Barbecue & Live Music After the Ride: Celebrate your day back at Grange Farm with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and fantastic live entertainment. It’s the perfect way to end a brilliant day of cycling.

We believe cycling is for everyone, and we’re here to make the event accessible and safe:
- Children Under 15 Ride for Free: Bring the whole family and make it a day to remember.
- Medical Support: Available throughout the event for your peace of mind.
