Ballymena Runners is delighted to announce that entries for the Ballymena Belles Ladies 5 Mile Race are now open!
This Ladies-Only race will be held on Tuesday 14th April at 7pm, starting in Galgorm, Ballymena.
Race Route:
The race will begin in Galgorm Industrial Park. Runners will make their way into Galgorm village before running out the main Galgorm Road towards Ahoghill. Following a gradual incline, the race then follows quieter country roads back down into Galgorm village. The race will finish on the football pitches at Galgorm Community Centre.
The first 4 miles of the race are on public roads. Please follow instructions and guidance from marshals, especially at road crossings. The final mile is on a tarmac path around the Wright Bus site.
For your safety, running with earphones, dogs or prams is not permitted.
Prizes:
There will be a range of prizes including Age Category prizes, Junior Section (16/17years) and a Team prize.
There will be a number of spot prizes on the night.
1st: £100
2nd: £70
3rd: £50
Age Categories: £25
The Ballymena Belles Shield will be awarded to the winning Team (4 registered members from the Club with the lowest cumulative top position).
Please note that athletes will only receive one individual prize.
Post Race refreshments:
We will have the famous Ballymena Runners ‘Big Feed’ to welcome you home! Join us in Galgorm Community Centre for prize giving, refreshments and post-race stories.
Car Parking:
The main carpark for Ballymena Belles is at Creative Gardens. At the Galgorm Roundabout, follow the signs for Galgorm Castle Golf Club.
There is also limited parking at Ballymena Business Centre on the Fenaghy Road.
Registration:
Registration will be at Galgorm Community Centre from 5pm - 6:30pm on Race Day.
Early Pack Collection will be held at Ballymena Bowling Club from 12noon - 2pm on Saturday 11th April.
Transfers / Deferrals:
There will be strictly no refunds or deferrals.
Transfers or Name Changes can be facilitated online only until 6th April 2026.
