Parking: Please park as directed by marshals at the car park at the top of Cockfield (DL13 5HF) main street.
Butterknowle Scouts will be running a refreshment stall for after the race, so bring a few pounds to buy some cake and a drink. Also bring a waterbottle to leave at the start/finish to save on plastic cups please.
Cockfield Chase is designed as a beginners fell race, organised by Durham Fell Runners, licensed by the Fell Runners Association (FRA). It is two laps on the ancient monument of Cockfield Fell, the first lap being a 3.5km social run to show everyone the route starts at 7pm. Immediately as the first lap finishes, the 3.5km race starts.
If you bring a prize you will win a prize - anything will do, just bring something to add to the prize pile!
All runners are welcome (age 14+), whatever your ability or experience, so long as you think you can safely get around the 7km off road route.
