New Date - I have now been able to get all the necessary new permissions and the race will be held on Sunday 1st February. All arrangements as before. I do hope that you will be able to run on the new date. If you are not able to please withdraw as soon as possible so that I can try to fill all available places. You will receive a refund of most of your fee but I have had to retain some to cover non recoverable costs.

------------------

Set against the rugged beauty of Staffordshire’s trails, the Cannock Chase Trig Running Race is a true off-road challenge for runners who thrive on elevation, endurance, and adventure. The course winds through forest singletrack, sandy climbs, and open heathland, rewarding every ascent with panoramic views from the trig point at the top. It’s a race that demands strength and rewards spirit — whether you’re pushing the pace at the front or digging deep for the finish, this is trail running at its purest.

You’ll need to self-navigate the course, visiting five checkpoints in order before returning to the finish at Milford Common. Speed, sharp navigation, and smart route choices are key to mastering this classic event.

Course & Checkpoints: All runners must visit the following checkpoints, in order, taking their chosen routes. (A race-specific map can be purchased through the SiEntries process (limited number available), and a copy will be available on the Mercia website.)
