Kingdom of Fife Orienteers are staging an orienteering event in Duloch Park and Calais Muir Woods, Dunfermline, Fife.
This will be suitable for all abilities, from those just starting out to people who have been orienteering on many previous occasions.
It’s a lovely park, perfect for autumnorienteering. It's got open parkland with newly planted trees, and an interesting, woodland with bubbling streams, magical clearings, plenty of paths but also patches of very thick forest.
Start times will be between 11am and 12 noon. We will give you an exact start time a couple of days before the event.
There are three courses on offer:
YELLOW is suitable for beginners and juniors and is almost all on paths. It is about 1.5km long.
ORANGE is suitable for people who have done some orienteering before. It is about 2.5km long.
GREEN is best for people who have done fair amount of orienteering. It will be about 4.0km long.
All the maps will be on A4 waterproof paper at 1:4000 scale.
The meeting point is close to the park's public car park off Nightingale Place. Full details of how to find us and what to expect will be sent a couple of days before the event.
