We are excited to continue with the latest instalment of the Limitless Trails BYU Series. This one has a time cut-off and a sprint last lap finish to determine the winner.
The first eleven yards are the standard format, each one to be completed within an hour. The twelfth and final yard is a race.
Winning trophy for 1st place
Anyone completing a yard receives a medal, and we have a special medal for anyone who reaches 32 miles ie ULTRA.
Set just outside Crickhowell deep in the Black Mountains the route is 50/50 Trail and Tarmac, with only one gradual climb and a short steep section, the rest is relatively flat terrain which means fast.
You will be fed & watered, with additional hot food after the 5th yard.
Start is 9pm Friday, all details will be confirmed via email - Monday PM before the event
Here are the rules :
We have a 4.167 mile loop
1/ Starting Corral
Participants must be in the starting corral at the bell
2/ Starts
. Each loop starts precisely 1 hour after the last
. Runners will be given 3, 2, and 1 minutes prior to start
. All competitors must start at the bell (no late starts)
3/ Loops
. Except for restrooms, competitors may not leave the course until each loop is completed
. No non-competitors on the course (including eliminated runners)
. No personal aid during a loop (common aid stations are allowed) one will be at HQ
. Each of the first eleven loops must be completed within an hour to be counted.
. No artificial aids (including trekking poles)
. Slower runners must allow passes.
5/ Timing
. Timing of the loops is optional - we will have timing
6/ Winner/Results
. The winner is the fastest person on the final (12th) yard, i.e. a race.
. Results of each runner in terms of distance covered will be given.
7/ Cap
. Race capped at 12 hours.

Additional information for support crew:
1/ No supporters are allowed in the corral at any time
2/ No phone calls allowed to/from runners when they are on the course, other than an emergency
3/ Kitchen area is for staff only, we will have a pop-up kitchen for supporters' help with prep
