LDWA Hunnypot Hundred 2026

This year the Kent group look forward to welcoming you. The route is set within a different part of the country to the last Kent 100, the Cinque Ports in 2018. The Hunnypot Hundred will be an undulating route with plenty of stunning views - in good weather! Around 500 people will be starting the event on 23rd May, following the route description from checkpoint to checkpoint - for short breaks - until they finish. The fastest will finish in under 24 hours and the slowest in 48 hours.
Why the Hunnypot Hundred? 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of Winnie the Pooh, so this year's Hundred will visit the Ashdown Forest and some of the places mentioned in the stories: Pooh Sticks Bridge, The Enchanted Place, 100 Acre Wood and Eeyore's Gloomy Place. The route starts at Meopham in the North Downs of Kent, climbs over the Greensand Ridge into the not so hilly Weald to cross into Sussex to explore the Ashdown Forest - more hilly heathland than a forest of trees. The route then turns back through the Weald to the hills of the Greensand Ridge and North Downs again.
So, hills-respite-hills-respite-hills adds up to 11250ft of ascent. Less than 17 of the miles will be on country lanes or other roads. The route includes sections of some of our local long distance paths, including: the Wealdway, Greensand Way, Sussex Diamond Way, Sussex Border Path, High Weald Landscape Trail, Tandridge Border Path, Eden Valley Walk, Darent Valley Path and North Downs Way.
Completion of a qualifier is required, the list can be found on the HPH 100 Qualifying Events page. Entries open on 1st October. Entrants are required to read and abide by the rules before and after entering. All entrants must be LDWA members and will need to have an existing qualifier to enter. If more than 520 entries are received subsequent entries will be placed on a waiting list in order of time entry was received. The closing date for entries will be Thursday 30th April 2026.
