Start window: 5pm to 730pm THE FINAL DETAILS HAVE NOW BEEN ISSUED BY EMAIL TO ALL THAT HAVE ENTERED SO FAR. THEY ARE ALSO AVAILABLE VIA THE ORANGE BUTTON ABOVE. LATE ENTRIES AND ON THE DAY ENTRIES ARE WELCOMED AND WE DO PRINT SPARE MAPS FOR SUCH LATE ENTRIES. IT IS STILL BEST TO USE THIS ON LINE ENTRY SYSTEM EVEN IF ENTERING ON THE DAY! ON LINE ENTRIES MAY CLOSE EARLY IF THE MAPS RUN OUT! For King's School staff, students & families please use the special discount code available from the school when entering. Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT accompanied youngsters under 18 who go for FREE (when accompanied by a paying adult who must be 21+). Juniors aged 16 and above can run/walk alone with parental permission - in this case they need their own individual entry at the standard adult rate. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Please enter early for the best rates and to help with planning for maps, parking, event officials and catering.

Tuesday evening Sunset Spunch from The Bridge Hotel Prestbury, near Macclesfield, Cheshire SK10 4DQ. Evening Spunch for runners & walkers, friends & families. Dog friendly too. Course includes the King's School campus.
One of our late summer / early autumn Sunset Spunch Series - making the most of the midweek evening daylight before the clocks go back. Get an early start and try to beat the dark or enjoy the sun setting before you return in increasingly fading light (hi vis clothing & torch necessary for later starters).

Thanks to kind support & permission from King's School, the course includes the rare opportunity to visit a selection of SpunchPoints dotted around the King's School campus as part of your route. Please note that the campus is about 1.5k uphill (direct route) away from the start point and can only be fully explored after 6pm. You will need to think carefully about your route plan, but you will be rewarded with some rich pickings as the campus will be fully-loaded with SpunchPoint value!

The usual 60, 90 and 120 min score course options (choose on the night itself).
Bag Drop, Loos, Start, Finish, Food & Drink all at The Bridge Hotel.
About 20-25 mins from M60 & M56 South Manchester junctions. About 30-35 mins from M6 J19/20. Ample parking nearby.
Run, jog or walk - suitable for road runners, trail runners, park runners, fell runners, adventure racers, orienteers, walkers, newcomers, and families alike. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! Newcomers and locals always very welcome. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Start at your convenience anytime between 5pm & 730pm. (Last start for 90min course 715pm, last start for 120min course 645pm). Registration open from 5pm.
Beat the dark! Catch the Sunset! Sunset will be around 630pm and it will be dark from just after 7pm. Earlier starters may have the advantage of daylight throughout! Wear hi-visibility clothing and bring a torch / head torch if you expect to be still out after 630pm!
Navigating with a specially prepared map, visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.
A return visit to Prestbury & the Bridge. Spunching in the beautiful rolling countryside surrounding the delightful village of Prestbury, on a great network of well-used paths. Maybe south along the Bollin Valley? Or undulating up towards King's School and beyond? Might you bump into one of the many local celebs who make Prestbury their home? Hilly and less hilly options available at this one and generally good conditions underfoot*. There will be something for everyone and even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
Great food and drink available from the Bridge Hotel after your run / walk to be enjoyed in their fantastic indoor or outdoor areas. The venue is child friendly & dog friendly too.

Catch the Spunch Train: Just 500m walk / jog from Prestbury Train Station - Well served by convenient trains from Manchester Piccadilly & Stoke-on-Trent (and all stops in between and so easily accessible by train from Stockport, Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall, Poynton, Adlington, Macclesfield, Congleton & Kidsgrove too).
