Dingle Adventure Race 8th June 2024

Cycle, run and kayak across the spectacular Dingle Peninsula to challenge yourself in 2024

2024 will be the 13th year of the Dingle Adventure Race. Voted Ireland's best Adventure Race by Running Ireland. It is a great weekend on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry. DAR attracts over 1300 competitors over the 3 different courses. DAR is part of the National Series in Ireland for Adventure Racing. 

Each course will have a single wave start and all competitors will start on their bikes for 2024. That will mean there will be no racking bikes at the start, competitors will arrrive at the start on their bikes and it will be a rolling start for the first 1km cycle. It also means that the kayak stage will happen at the end of each course, just before the final 1km run.

Course Options;
DAR Full, 08:00 Start; 72km with 1490m total ascent. Competitors will start on their bikes at Dingle Marina. It will be a rolling start for the first 1km cycle before cycling around Slea Head and West Kerry (42km). Hike or run on Ireland's second highest Mountain range Mt Brandon (16km), Cycle (10km), 1km run to kayak. Kayak 1km in double sit-on-tops before final run 1km to Finish line in Dingle Marina.   

DAR Sport, 08.30 Start; 42km with 800m total ascent. Competitors will start on their bikes at Dingle Marina. It will be a rolling start for the first 1km cycle before cycling (21km) around Slea Head> hike or run (7.5km) Mt Eagle and cycle (11.5km) back to Dingle via Ventry, rack bikes at transition at Milltown before (0.7km) run to kayak. Kayak 1km in double sit-on-tops before final run 1km to Finish line in Dingle Marina.

DAR Mini, 09:00 Start; 15 mile/23km with 160m total ascent. Competitors will start on their bikes at Dingle Marina. It will be a rolling start for the first 1km cycle before cycling
 8km cycle to Ventry. 5km run Ventry beach. 7 km cycle to Dingle, rack bikes at transition at Milltown before (0.7km) run to kayak. Kayak 1km in double sit-on-tops before final run 1km to Finish line in Dingle Marina.
