Welcome to the LOC Cumbrian Galoppen on Tarn Hows - A classic distance race over one of the Lake Districts most iconic areas, with a new map drawn by Martin Bagness. The usual range of Galoppen courses will be available from Yellow to Brown for all competitors, plus a White course.
Unsure which course to enter? The longer courses (V Short Green to Brown) will all be technical courses, designed for experienced orienteers, not for beginners ! The white course is great for younger children, the yellow course for older beginner children and the orange course will tempt you off the beaten track slightly, so best for those with some experience of yellow courses already.
We encourage running in pairs, it is good way to start orienteering. Just enter either as the junior for a junior/parent pair or family or one adult as an adult pair. Please add the names of the accompanying adult/pair in the ‘Additional names and ages’ box and also request an extra map, if required.
