The Longridge Long Ride

Once again the long route traverses 3 counties, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. There are 3 routes 100 mile, 100 k and 40 mile starting from the Civic Hall in Longridge, PR3 3HJ, and heading out through the Ribble Valley over into North Yorkshire. From Settle the route takes you up to the Ribble Head Viaduct and onward to the half way point in Dent, returning via Kirby Lonsdale and the Stocks Reservoir and back home via Waddington.
All 3 routes follow the same roads with the longer routes being extensions of the shorter. There are 2 feed stations, all 3 routes hit the first at 18 miles, the 100k hits it again at 42 miles whilst the 100 mile has a feed station in Dent and hits the first one again at 82 miles.

All proceeds will benefit local charities, last year we raised just short of £3,000 in aid of Prostate Cancer

As with everything we do as a Rotary Club, all staffing is with volunteers so all our income from events goes to the charitable causes nominated.
