Thanks for your interest in the event.

We are now completely full and will not be taking any more entries for the Robin Hood 100 2024.

We are really sorry you missed out. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you another time.

2026 will be the next RH100 race.

We will not be replacing cancellations between now and the race as we are well oversubscribed, hence runners cannot sell their place either - just cancel with refund.

There really is no way to get in the race now. I expect many more people asking to squeeze on and it just ends up a mess with far too many on the race.

Please do not email begging for a place.

Sorry again.

Thank you for your understanding.

This is a fully marked ultra on nice underfoot, runnable and scenic trails. The route heads into Sherwood Forest to take in Robin Hoods homeland before returning back to South Wheatley. Relatively flat with no major climbs, just steady undulations on occasion, make it a 'fast' course with the course record at 15 hours 2 minutes.

The route makes use of the Chesterfield Canal towpath to pick up Clumber park. From there you join the Dukeries race route. This route takes in some of the most beautiful and undiscovered sandstone villages and historical sites in England.

The race enters into the heart of Sherwood Forest which offers some of Nottinghamshire's finest and most picturesque trail. Keeping to the towpath and then mostly forest trails and footpaths, the route passes charming lodges, through Creswell Crags and skirts the Welbeck Estate. It then crosses Clumber Park and through peaceful farm land before looping back to pass by the Thoresby Estate before returning to Sherwood Forest. Return on the towpath to head back to the village hall.  You will pass The Major Oak!

All HOBO Pace races are fully marked out and marshalled. No navigation other than common sense and a general understanding of the route is needed to stay on track. Basic refreshment will be provided at regular intervals and at the finish.

Please note due to excessive and repeated tracker issues in dense forest they have proved an insufficient tool for the race. Hence, runners will not wear trackers. Runners will be accounted for by admin aid station recording, which we have always used in addition to trackers for runner safety to great effect.

Drop bags will be located at Aid Station 4 (Forest Loop) at mile 51.8M & 81.4M - so you can make use of them twice. Please note although you reach this aid station as early as 22M, your drop bag will not be accessible at that stage. Again, for clarity the first access to your drop back is 51.8M.

Registration/Start/Finish Address; Sturton Road, South Wheatley Village Hall, Retford, Notts, DN22 9DH.
