Circular 7 & 16-mile (approx.) trail races in the North York Moors National Park, from Swainby Village Hall, taking in stunning views of the Moors including Cod Beck & Oak Dale Reservoirs, Scarth Wood & Whorlton Moors, and Black Hambleton.
Race HQ: Swainby Village Hall, Swainby nr Northallerton, DL6 3EG
Start times: 9.30am for 16-mile, 10.35am for 7-mile race.

Varied terrain, including exposed & rugged uplands and muddy forest tracks. Predominantly on bridleways & footpaths, with small sections on minor road. Water/Feedstations, regular checkpoints, marked course, route description & downloadable GPS routes. Full course details and profile available on our website
Trophies awarded for male and female: 1st to 3rd overall and 1st to 3rd in each age group, including new V70+ category

To guarantee a shirt, order before 19th March
After 19th March a limited number of shirts may be available on a 1st come 1st served basis
- If you transfer your number to another runner, your t-shirt and size selection is also transferred. You will need to edit this if they want a different size. We can’t refund the shirt cost
- Transfers after 19th March will receive the original t-shirt size, as orders will have been placed with our supplier.
- In order to supply t-shirts, we must reach a minimum order. If we do not reach this minimum order, we will refund the t-shirt cost.
In an effort to be more environmentally friendly this race will be cupless: please bring your own cup or bottle
A TRA permit has been granted (5053) and this event will therefore be held under UK Athletic rules
Plenty of local attractions for spectators, including the beautiful villages of Osmotherley, Swainby, and nearby Mount Grace Priory.
A small donation to the North York Moors National Park and Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team is included in each runner’s entry fee.
Refunds: 75% refund up until 12 weeks before the event. From 12 to 4 weeks, 50% refund. No refund within 4 weeks, although you can still transfer your number to another runner up until 10am Tuesday 11th April.
We do not offer deferrals to other races.
Sorry, due to livestock along the route and UKA rules, running with dogs is not permitted
