Celebrate Halloween on Friday 28th October 2022 with a Halloween Trail Fun Run at Souter Lighthouse as darkness falls. Bring your best Halloween costumes & lanterns & come and enjoy the excitement of our spooky event at Souter Lighthouse.

We encourgage runners of all abilities to take part with friends in their best fancy dress Halloween costumes (optional) on our fully marked & spooky 5 mile course. 

We've also introduced a Halloween Mini Trail - a 2 mile course for children & parents to walk, jog & run together. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Parents entry fees for the mini trail are included with their child's entry. 

**Pumpkin Carving Competition - bring along your best carved pumpkin along to registration to be in with a chance to win a RES running kit bundle. Winner will be announced on the evening**

Course5 Miles on Trails, grass & footpath around Souter Lighthouse & Whitburn Nature Reserve.  The route can be found here.  Mini Trail is 1 lap

Registration - On the day from 5pm at Souter Lighthouse cafe. 

Start Time - 6.00pm with Mini Run starting at same time 

Location - Souter Lighthouse, Whitburn SR6 7NH

Kit List - Headtorch, drinks & energy gels/snacks if required. Fancy dress optional but encouraged.

Entry - part of the entry fee will go towards supporting the National Trust & includes car parking, a delicious cake & cuppa at Souter Lighthouse Cafe after the run. 

Course - set on National Trust land. Runners do not have right of way and we request common courtesy to other park users.

Cut off Time - We do not have a strict cut off time. All runners will be allowed to finish ahead of our tail runner

Toilets & Car Parking - available at Souter Lighthouse

Headphones - Not Permitted

Drinks - To limit contact with others and reduce plastic waste, runners must bring their own drinks & containers and be responsible for their own hydration throughout the race. Refills of your containers are available at the water station and at the finish line. 

Litter - To protect the coastline, please take any litter home with you or dispose in bins at Souter Lighthouse. If you do need to dispose of litter on the course, please leave it with a marshall and make them aware.
