The DR40 is the spectacular finale to the series, starting and finishing in the heart of Raydale.
Run over less technical terrain than the first two races in the series, the route takes you over Stake Moss with spectacular views over to Buckden Pike followed by a beautiful section of the Dales Way along the River Wharfe and finishing with a section or Roman road, a trip around Weather Fell before descending towards Semerwater.
The course consists of hard packed footpaths, quite a few road sections and some grassy trods, in good weather this route would suit a road or road to trail shoe.
Each of our race distances are just rough estimates but we have made sure this one is a bit further so you can count it as a marathon!
Highlights include:
- Generous cutoffs
- Fully stocked aid stations (including vegan and gluten free options)
- Finishers hot meal, drinks and cakes
- Friendliest marshalls in Yorkshire
- GPX and map available
- Car parking
This year we are offering a finishers buff for a £3 additional fee to help keep the costs of the race down and look after those hard stretched pennies.
