Windy Hill returns for 2023 with a new venue and a new route.
Starting high up above Saddleworth, you will head out towards Hollingworth lake before climbing up to Blackstone Edge before a high moorland traverse along the Pennine Way to the mast at Windy Hill before dropping down to the Ogden Valley and the last climb up to the finish at the Rams Head where hot soup awaits.
As this is a winter race, full FRA kit is required.
Some checkpoints will have water and sweets.
Venue - Rams Head Inn, Ripponden Rd, Denshaw, Oldham OL3 5UN
Start Time - 10am (Registration opens at 9am)
Distance - 12 miles/2100 feet ascent.
