This trail race largely follows the Welcome Way, a circular trail through moorland landscapes, alongside rivers, canals and reservoirs, across farmland and through woodland. High points include Otley Chevin and Burley and Baildon moors. For those looking to challenge their limits even further, a seven-mile additional loop can be added around Bingley and Shipley Glen. Half marathon to ultramarathon distances.

Car Park: Opens 06:00. Craftsman Tools Car Park (owned by William Sinclair Stationers in Otley – both have kindly allowed us to use it for the race). It is located at the end of Bremner Street off the A659 Pool Road LS21 1JD.
Registration: From 06:30 to 07:45 at Otley Cricket Club, Cross Green, Otley. LS21 1HE
Kit list: You are expected to always carry the following during the race. Failure to do so may result in time penalties or disqualification, at the discretion of the Race Directors whose decision is final.
This is the standard kit for all races, but please check the website for the specific race in case there are any special requirements due to the weather etc.
Trackers: All ultramarathon entrants will be supplied with a tracker and a weblink will be provided during the week prior to the race, where runners and friends and family can watch your progress during the race. Trail race (half marathon and 20 mile) runners can hire a tracker for £15.
Start: (From Wharfemeadows Park – 10-minute walk from Car Park)
Checkpoints: Each checkpoint has water, coke, energy bars & crisps.

CP2: Burley (14 miles) Open 09:30 Close 11:30
CP3: Shipley Glen (20/28 miles) Open 11:30 Close 15:30 (If you wish to do the loop you must get to CP3 by 13:00 you will return to this checkpoint after the loop)
CP4: Esholt (24/32 miles) Open 12:00 Close 17:00
CP5: The Chevin (29/37 miles) Open 12:30 Close 18:00
Finish: Otley Car Park (34/42 miles) Open 13:30 Close 22:00
Every finisher receives a medal and an event T-Shirt. Please note that although there are two ultramarathon distances, this is one event for the purposes of trophies. Finishing positions for the race series are in order of distance completed then time taken.
