This Street Orienteering event is centred around Nelson (off the M65 at either J12 or J13) using an OpenOrienteering map at 1:10000 scale.
There are two courses: One with a 60 minute time limit, the other with a 75 minute time limit. There will not be any physical SI controls on the course. All control sites will be on street furniture etc, with written answers of letters/numbers. There will be separate league tables for the 60 and 75 minute courses throughout the PFO 2022 series.
Controls will have varying points values (10, 20, ..... 60) depending upon the distance and difficulty. There will be 1 penalty point deducted for each 3 seconds that you are late, which is equivalent to 20 points deducted per minute late.
This event is pre-entry and pre-pay only. See entry details below. There will be NO Registration and NO entry on the day.
Entry cost is: Solo (£4.00), Pair (£6.00) or Trio (£7.00). [Note: Age 15- must run as pair/trio with adult, 16-17 pair or pair/trio with adult, 18+ individual.] See PFO website for further events information. Entries will close at midnight on the Monday BEFORE the event.
All competitors must wear a hig-viz vest and, during winter or twiglight, carry a headtorch.
Covid security is the responsibility of the competitor, though we recommend observing simple social distancing and other courtesies.
