A tough 23+ mile route in 9.5 hrs taking in Bland Hill (GR207531) - Swinsty Reservoir - Fewston Reservoir - Thruscross Reservoir - Rocking Hall - Bolton Abbey - Beamsley Beacon - Round Hill - Ellarcarr Pike - Timble - Bland Hill.

Includes Certificate, Badge, Some CP refreshments, Hot Meal at finish with Veggie Option.

Open to people aged 16 years and over. Anyone under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

Please park with care and consideration on the adjacent roadsides

NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE EVENT

It is strongly recommended that each entrant carries the correct map, whistle, compass ( or GPS ), waterproof jacket, over trousers, first aid kit, survival bag or blanket, emergency rations, MUG.

There  have had to be some route and checkpoint changes due to ongoing Yorkshire Water works at Swinsty Reservoir and the loss of parking near Beamsley Beacon.  The changes are as below. The route description has been amended accordingly and is available on the Nidderdale LDWA website.

CP3 Rocking Hall - GR 111 579

CP4 self clip (gate) - GR 076 542

CP5 Banks Farm, Storiths - GR 081 543

CP6 Ling Chapel Farm - GR 091 527 (refreshments) (new for 2022)

Via Beamsley Beacon - GR 099 524

CP7 Ellarcarr Pike - Gr 159 523

Via North Lane - Gr 183 533 (new for 2022)

Via permissive path - GR192 541 (new for 2022)

Please observe the following. They are for your safety and enjoyment of the event. 

1. Retire at roadside checkpoints only.  Transport will be provided back to the start.
2. Entrants will not be allowed to continue if in the opinion of the Checkpoint Officer or Sweeper they are unfit to do so.
3. Visit all checkpoints in the correct order. Anyone without a fully clipped tally at the finish will be disqualified.
4. Cross walls and fences at stiles and gates. Close all gates, follow way marks.  PLEASE OBSERVE THE COUNTRY CODE>
5. The organiser’s decision is final, they cannot accept responsibility for any injury or loss during the event.
