40-mile linear walk from Avebury Sports and Social Club to Streatley Youth Hostel. Route follows the ancient Ridgeway track & other paths across undulating chalk downland of Wilts, Oxon, & Berks.

Coach from Streatley YH to start at Avebury - £10.50.  Leaves Streatley Youth Hostel 06.45 am prompt. If you are late you miss it!

  1. NOTE>>>>We will not be providing transport for retirees at Checkpoints onward to the Finish. Entrants should make their own arrangements for this situation using friends or family. This is a 40 mile walk in limited time and requires prior training and good health. We advise that you download the App "What3Word" what3words  If your family also use this app they will be able to navigate directly to your exact position.

Electronic Cert for finishing. Inc snack and drinks at most Cps and snack bag at finish. BRING YOUR OWN MUG/CUP!

Start Times: Walkers 08:00 to 08:30 from Avebury Sports and Social Club. ALL Runners should start at 08:30. Start when you have received your registration chip.

Time Limit: See Check Point Closing Times on website. You will be retired if you miss these times.

Info: Accommodation available at Streatley YH if required. Cloth badge for sale £2. BRING YOUR OWN MUG/CUP! Maps: LR 173 & 174 or equivalent or use Google maps from our website.
