Sunday 20th March 2022, 10:00am

This 20-mile road race is over an undulating 2-lap scenic route mainly on closed roads, and is ideal preparation for a Spring marathon.  Famous Ashby 20 hoodie and goody bag for all finishers!

2022 Pre Race HQ - Hood park Leisure Centre.  Pre race toilets and changing available at Hood Park Leisure Centre.

Final race details and information can be found on our website at http://www.ashby20.co.uk  In particular, look at the Race Booklet available at least 4 weeks in advance on the 'Event Info' tab. Our website and booklet will detail any covid measures required at the time of the race.

Held under UK Athletic rules.  Maximum 1500 runners (initial entries up to 1650 to allow for withdrawals - no waiting list this year).

Swaps to friends/clubmates are no longer allowed, however you may withdraw, and get a refund (less £5 admin costs).  There is a cut off window for withdrawals with refunds of Sunday 13th February, as we start preparations for sending out numbers then.  This year there will be no waiting list.

As with the majority of road events, earphones other than the bone conduction type are not allowed.  Course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.

Due to the need to remove the road closures and get the roads open to traffic as quickly as we can, we have to introduce a time limit for the event.  This will be a cut off time of 2 hours 20 mins at the 10-mile point, measured by the half-way clock, which is just after the drinks station and village of Packington at the start of the second lap. This roughly equates to 4 hours 45 mins race finish time.

Leave bags at the secure area at the Finish, and ALL bags left at Hood Park headquarters will be taken to the Finish, so you have warm clothes etc as soon as you finish.

Course measurement number 16/061

All entrants covered by the rights in the Data Protections Act/GDPR.

Please ensure all known medical conditions that race medics should be aware of, and  your emergency contact details are up to date in your race entry.

Please help raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust

Aldi are working with Teenage Cancer Trust to ensure no young person faces cancer alone

For every young person Teenage Cancer Trust supports, there is another they can’t reach.
That’s why Aldi have partnered with Teenage Cancer Trust to raise awareness of this vital cause and help ensure no young person ever has to face cancer alone.

Aldi aim to raise £10 million. It’s an ambitious target, no question, but they believe that with the support of everyone  it can happen.
