Goathland Trail Marathon – 27.5 miles -4800 feet of ascent
Compulsory Kit
Because this is a winter event in quite possibly hostile conditions compulsory items must be carried or worn for your own safety
- Waterproof Jacket with taped seams
- Hat
- Gloves
- Whistle
- 500ml of water/sports drink to be carried
- Map and route description
- Head torch or torch (full runners only)
FAILURE TO CARRY YOUR OWN MANDATORY KIT FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE EVENT WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION

Marathon – 0700 – 0740
Half – 0800 – 0840
10k – 0900 – 0940
Trail Marathon Start 0800hrs
Half Marathon Start 0900hrs
Trail 10k Start 1000hrs
Time limits
9 hours to complete the Trail Marathon.
5 hours to complete the Half Marathon.
3 hours to complete the 10k

Hardmoors 26.2 series races will no longer be taped or signed to help with navigation. Therefore, competitors will be provided with a downloadable race route description and downloadable maps of the course which are to be used. It is the competitor’s responsibility to navigate themselves throughout the course
This event offers the option to purchase Booking Protect, so that participants may be able to get a refund if they are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
