This winter's North West Night League (NWNL) commences in November. This event is the second in the series.
The Night Green and Night Blue courses are for experienced orienteers, whereas the Night Orange course is for anyone wanting to gain night navigation experience. This event is not suitable for novices unless accompanied by an experienced adult.
The Nick o'Pendle area is open fell with many tracks and a scattering of brown, black and blue features which are testament to earlier mineral extraction. The terrain is high and exposed, so dress according to the weather conditions.
WHISTLES and WATERPROOF JACKETS and RESERVE LIGHTING are MANDATORY and must be worn or carried. To cope with wind, rain and cold, carrying hats, gloves, additional thermal layers and waterproof trousers may also be necessary. Be prepared!
Following British Orienteering advice concerning Covid-19 restrictions, this event is pre-entry and pre-pay only. Everyone who attends must follow the BOF 'Participant Code of Conduct' . For this and other information see details on the PFO event webpage.
