Parents accompanying children go free. SI timing card hire is free but are charged at replacement cost £30 if lost. |

Parking is Free – The 'Upper Cloughmore' car park should be used (Grid Reference J195174).
Registration – Not required if using own SI Card - proceed directly to start. Hire cards can be collected from the Organiser at the Mobile Orienteering Office (MOO), located in the 'Upper Cloughmore' Car park.
SIACs - This event is mixed punching and SI Air is enabled on all controls except the Start.
Starts – Start times 11:30 - 13:15. For Yellow and Orange start is adjacent to the car park. For light Green to Brown please allow at least 20mins walk up the zig zags from the car park. Starts are in 15min blocks with up to 20 runners per block.
Finish & Download: After finishing proceed to the Download at the MOO in the Cloughmore Car park and then disperse to maintain Social Distancing.
Terrain: This is a great area for orienteering over varied terrain, open hill and forest. As fairly high up - on a good day you will enjoy great views of the southern Mournes, down over Carlingford Lough and across to the Cooley Peninsula: but on a bad day you could see nought
Safety Equipment: Due to the changeable nature of open mountain weather, all participants will be required to bring along both a whistle and a waterproof jacket.
Water: Bring your own water and make sure you are fully hydrated before starting
Map: 1:10000 map of Rostrevor - Cassey. Only the main paths are marked. Minor walking and bike trails especially around Cloughmore Stone area which affect the Orange and Yellow courses are not mapped.
Crossing Points: The longer courses will cross fences/walls which divide the area. Mandatory Fence and wall crossings will be marked on the map
