Fermanagh’s UNESCO Recognised Global Geopark is, once again, set to open its gates and 100 kilometres of gravel tracks to the Lakelander Gravel Grinder in 2022.

Ireland’s Premier gravel cycling event, The Lakelander Gravel Grinder returns again to Co Fermanagh on 8 October 2022.  This ultimate off-road cycle challenge that’s open to gravel, cyclocross, MTB and even e-MTB riders will see riders traverse through relatively unexplored areas of forest wilderness.

The routes – Big Dog 100k and Little Dog 50k – will sweep through seven UNESCO heritage forests with up to 1880 metres of elevation in the Big Dog and 850 meters in the Little Dog, while providing stunning views of countryside.

Big Dog 100K

100k distance. 1,880m elevation. 84% gravel. 16% B-roads and tracks. Ireland’s most challenging gravel event.

Little Dog 50K

50k distance. 850m elevation. 96% gravel. 4% B-road and tracks. Don’t be fooled by the name. This little dog has a big bite.

Where is the event located?

Lakelander Gravel Grinder will start and finish in the village of Belcoo in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Belcoo is 1 hour 45 minutes by road from Belfast, 2 hours 5 minutes from Dublin, 2 hours 40 minutes from Galway City and 4 hours from Cork City.
