NATO invite you to join us at Dukeshouse Woods, Hexham.
Venue: Located on the south-east outskirts of the market town of Hexham, Dukeshouse Woods is one of the North-East’s premier areas for orienteering, and only used once before in the last ten years.
Terrain: Hilly with blocks of open runnable woodland, some denser slower woodland with clearings, rhododendron thickets, ponds, crags, pits, depressions and an extensive path network.
Courses: Brown, Blue, Green, Short Green, Light Green, Orange, Yellow and White
Starts: Allocated 15 minute time slots between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Map: A4 1:10,000 scale
Travel: Parking will be public car parks in the centre of Hexham with a taped route to the start. Hexham is accessible by train and bus. Hexham is a beautiful historic market town with plenty of pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants for apres-O. Why not make a day of it?
