COVID 19

A 25/17 mile event for walkers and runners via the Western Pennine reservoirs and moors, organised by the East Lancs LDWA.
Start/Finish
Greenmount Old School Community Centre - Brandlesholme Road, Greenmount, BL8 4DS (SD 778143) .
Time Limit
Start 08.00. Registration from 06.45-07.50.
9 hours to complete the event. Checkpoint 4 will close at 13:30 hours. Entrants arriving after this time will be retired. Long route entrants must arrive at the cut off point by 10.15. Anyone arriving after 10.15 will automatically be diverted to the short route.
Safety
All entrants must follow the route description checking in at all checkpoints. All retirees must inform an event official. Event Marshals are authorised to short route or retire anyone failing to comply with the event rules or who in their opinion is unfit to continue or unable to complete within the set time limit.
Equipment
To include:- Clothing and Footwear appropriate to the event, waterproofs, compass, whistle, mug and one of the following maps:-1:50000 OS109 Manchester or 1:25000 West Pennine Moors Explorer 287.
Entries
Runners welcome. Entrants must be 14 years or over on the day of the event. Under 18s are restricted to the 17 mile route and must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. Overall Event limit of 300. No refunds, deferrals or transfers. No Entry on the Day.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept under close control by the owner at all times.
