Track & Trail navigation event for both runners and orienteers.
This is a pre-entry and pre-pay only. Entries will close at 12:00 noon on the day before the event.
When entering you can choose a 15 minute start block, between 18:00 and 19:00. You should present yourself at the Start during your chosen start block.
Our Red course, approximately 10k, is aimed at both regular 'orienteers' and those from a trail/fell running background. Controls will be on easily accessible larger features. The double-sided map will be an orienteering map on one side and an expanded OS map of the surrounding hills on the other.
You can expect the course to be on bridleways, paths or open fields. Please stick to the marked paths when outside the area of Marl Pits and respect the countryside.
The Yellow course, approximately 3.0-4.0k, will be exclusively on the Marl Pits orienteering map, though longer than a typical orienteering course of this standard. Suitable for younger competitors.
Help will be on hand to answer your queries about the course or the map.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Marl Pits Running Track Appeal.
Covid security is the responsibility of the competitor, though we recommend that you continue to observe simple social distancing and other courtesies.
