Perthshire-based charities Highland Perthshire Cycling (HPC) and The Coupar Angus Cycling Hub have run Scotland's only all female road cycling event for the past few years and due to it's huge success it is now a small series of 2 events (May and September).
This means more ladies cycling, more chances to explore new roads and routes and of course sample more of Perthshires finest home baking at our incredible food stops.

Part 2 of Belles & Buns 2021 !
The well loved format of the ladies only event with 2 route options and amazing cake and refreshment stops will take place on Sunday 12th September 2021. This is a female event focusing on being with friends, getting some exercise (not too competitive) and eating cake. The cycling is through Highland Perthshire on beautiful, roads with a mixture of gradients to suit all abilities.
This year we won't have a short route option as so many of you are loving the bigger challenges, well done!
Short (approx 28 miles) : A lovely challenge ride but with lots of time to complete you can enjoy the route at a steady and sociable pace. This route will take in some stunning scenery with a beautiful loop of a loch, a few climbs and gentle descents.
Long (approx 57.4 miles) : This route takes in the beautiful loch of the shorter route but also includes some wild feeling scenery and a challenging climb to tackle. A steep climb near the end so save some energy for that one! It's then a roll back down into Pitlochry and the finish line. This breathtaking route is one not to be missed! There will be a feed station at the furtherest away point to fuel up and give you a taste of the cakes to come back to at the finish.
All routes will start and finish in Pitlochry with more emphasis on a fun social with cakes and refreshments after you finish, so you can completely relax knowing that you have earned your cakes!

Your entry fee includes all refreshments, mechanic backup, first aid, and fully signed and marshalled routes to give you peace of mind to enjoy the event as much as possible. You will also get a bespoke Belles and Buns finishing medal.
All Routes will Start in Pitlochry. Exact timings will be emailed out to you prior to the event but set off likely around 10am.
Bike hire (Normal bikes and Electric bikes) available from the Escape Route, Pitlochry and Progression Bikes, Dunkeld.
We have plenty of catering options on the day but please still make sure to let us know of any dietary requirements when you register.
