Swainby Sweep Trail Race

Circular 7 & 16-mile (approx.) trail races in the North York Moors National Park, from Swainby Village Hall, taking in stunning views of the Moors including Cod Beck & Oak Dale Reservoirs, Scarth Wood & Whorlton Moors, and Black Hambleton.
Race HQ: Swainby Village Hall, Swainby nr Northallerton, DL6 3EG
Start times: 9.30am for 16-mile, 10.35am for 7-mile race.

Varied terrain, including exposed & rugged uplands and muddy forest tracks. Predominantly on bridleways & footpaths, with small sections on minor road. Trophies awarded for male and female: 1st to 3rd overall and 1st to 3rd in each age group.

Swainby Sweep Technical T-shirts available at £10 each. (NB For us to order t-shirts from our suppliers we will need a minimum order number. If we do not reach this minimum number we
will be unable to order the t-shirts, and will refund you the shirt price).
To guarantee a shirt, order before 27th March.
After 27th March a limited number of shirts may be available on a 1st come 1st served basis
- If you transfer your number to another runner, your t-shirt and size selection is also transferred. You will need to edit this if they want a different size.
- Transfers after 27th March will receive the original t-shirt size, as orders will have been placed with our supplier.
** Please note:
- In an effort to be more environmentally friendly this race will be cupless: please bring your own cup or bottle
- Whilst there is remaining Covid cross-infection risk, we will only be offering fluids at feed stations. In the interest of the environment and keeping entry fees down, we will not be offering individually wrapped food items. Please be self-sufficient for food.
- A TRA permit has been approved (4027) and this event will therefore be held under UK Athletic rules (sorry no dogs)
Plenty of local attractions for spectators, including the beautiful villages of Osmotherley, Swainby, and nearby Mount Grace Priory.
A small donation to the North York Moors National Park and Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team is included in each runner’s entry fee.
Refunds: 75% refund up until 12 weeks before the event. From 12 to 4 weeks, 50% refund. No refund within 4 weeks, although you can still transfer your number to another runner up until midnight Tuesday 19th April. We do not offer deferrals to other races. If you are unable to attend due to COVID infection we will issue a refund minus 10% to cover credit card processing fees.
