NIMRA Championship “Medium category” race
Event headquarters: will be at the campsite/field at the top of the Carrick Little Lane (Grid ref 345 226).
Entries: are online only. No entries on the day.
The minimum age for participants is 18 (on the day of the race).
This is a race on open mountains and all participants must have the appropriate fitness levels and experience before applying to enter.
This race is not suitable for individuals without experience of mountain running and the organisers reserve the right to refuse entry and/or a starting place to anyone they regard as insufficiently experienced or lacking the necessary fitness to safely participate.
Anyone withdrawing from the event must report this fact to the nearest marshal and to the finish marshal.
Registration: At event HQ opens at 9.45am and closes at 10.35 sharp.
Race Start: 11AM (in waves) – Face covering required.
Parking: There will be a charge of £3 per vehicle at the event headquarters, payable in cash on arrival and please bring the correct change. There will be room for approximately 50 vehicles only and when the there is no further room, participants will be required to use one of the public car parks in the vicinity. If required to use one of these alternative parks please remember to allow sufficient time to walk to the event start.
Route: There is a trail that runs around most of this race, but it is up to runners whether they follow it or not. There is no prescribed route, but participants must visit all the checkpoints.
Timing: SPORTident timing will be used. After completing the event the dibbers should be returned to the organisers. Dibbers will be provided and a charge of £30 will be levied for any not returned.

Runners will be advised of any adjustments to the kit list at registration.
A kit check will be conducted prior to the race and may also be carried out at the finish. Any person found not to be carrying the specified equipment prior to the event will not be permitted to start and failure to do so at any time during the event will result in disqualification.
Weather: Conditions and/ or visibility may be poor, and all participants must have the appropriate map reading and navigational skills sufficient to ensure that they can locate the checkpoints regardless of the conditions. The race organising team reserve the right to determine whether the race is to be cancelled or diverted to an alternative safer route if severe weather is forecast.
